NJDEP recently published Amendments to the Remediation Standards Rule (N.J.A.C. 7:26D, enacted May 17, 2021). This rule includes a pathway evaluation approach and revised remediation standards for soil, soil migration to ground water, surface water, soil leachate, and indoor air.
NJDEP also published other documents to facilitate rule implementation, including:
- the basis and background documents for the rule amendments
- revised phase-in period guidance
- revised order of magnitude guidance
- revised exposure pathway calculators, and information (previously posted) on extractable petroleum hydrocarbons, chromium, PCBs, and
- recently revised technical guidance documents.
